Breathing out of your mouth due to a really stuffed nose is more than inconvenient. If you happen to get this at night, a stuffed nose can destroy any chance of you sleeping at all.
Believe it or not, a simple 5 minute face massage that you can do yourself, anywhere, will bring you the much needed (yet temporary) relief from your blocked nose – Without medication.
You’ll need your index fingers only for this simple massage, applying firm pressure on a few points on your face, as described below:
Start with the points on each side of your nostrils. Rotate your index fingers until both your nostrils are closed. Do this for 10 seconds.
Time: 10 seconds.
Apply the same rotating pressure with both your index fingers a little above the inner corners of your eyes.
Time: 20 seconds.
Head over to your cheek bones and apply pressure for 10 seconds.
Time: 10 seconds.
Using both your index fingers, stroke your cheekbones to your ears and apply pressure, behind the earlobes.
Time: 20 seconds.
Massage your ear lobes for 30 seconds at least. This has an amazingly calming effect as well.
Total time to cleared nose: 1.5 minutes.
Note: This will give you a temporary relief, much like any other OTC medication out there. Feel your nose blocking up again? Repeat steps 1 to 5 again and breathe freely.
Give it a try right now and tell us how it worked for you in the comment section.
