Homemade Coconut Hair Mask 


1 tbsp jojoba oil – Room temperature (preferably pure and organic like this one)

2 tbsp coconut oil – Room temperature (one of the best ones is this)

3 drops of essential oil – Lavender would be a great choice.

Step #1

Add 2 tbsp of coconut oil into a little bowl and stir well to get a smooth texture.

Time: 10 seconds.

Step #2

Add the jojoba oil and continue to stir until the mixture is even and well-combined.

Time: 30 seconds,

Step #3

Add the essential oil. Make sure to test it first on your skin to make sure there aren’t any allergic reactions.

Stir all the ingredients together until they form a thick, oily mixture.

Total time to homemade hair mask – 2 minutes

How to Use the Homemade Hair Mask

Apply your homemade mask to your hair – From the roots to ends, especially on dry areas.

Cover your hair with a shower cap and use a hair dryer to warm the hair a little. Leave on for 15-30 minutes.

Rinse and shampoo your hair as usual. Keep doing this treatment at least once a week to keep the great results.

  1. Any suggestions on other oils we can use other than jojoba? Have so many others on hand….grapeseed, olive, peanut, sesame, castor…
